Autumn 2
In English, we will continue exploring fiction writing inspired by The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, crafting narratives with imaginative and original plot structures. We'll also develop mystery story openers, using The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins as a creative stimulus. Following this, we will shift our focus to non-fiction writing, where we will learn to compose engaging and informative biographies.
In maths, we will continue working with negative numbers before progressing to multiplication using partitioning, which will lead into short multiplication involving three-digit numbers multiplied by one-digit numbers. We will then explore division through partitioning, building up to short division with two- and three-digit numbers divided by one-digit numbers. To conclude the half term, our focus will shift to understanding and calculating area.
