Starting school for the first time is a very important step for both the child and the parent/carer. We feel it is important that you get to know us and the school. For this reason we would love to welcome you to visit us before your child starts school. Please contact school to make an appointment to meet Mrs Johnson (Head of School) who will explain the school’s core values, aims and the way we operate on a day to day basis. She will also answer any questions you may have and give you an opportunity to tour the school during the school day.

Pre-School and Nursery Admissions

Reception intake

Children are usually admitted to school into the Infants Department (Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1) in September of the school year during which they become five.

In addition to looking around the school with the Principal, new Reception Parents are invited to an evening meeting during the Summer Term prior to children starting school. We will also visit your child at their nursery setting which helps us to gain additional information. Arrangements are made for your child to make pre-school visits to promote as smooth and trouble-free induction as possible.

Cheshire East Council are responsible for Reception admission procedures. Parents/carers need to provide Cheshire East Council with their details by registering online, by telephone, email or in writing as follows:

Cheshire East Council advises parents to contact schools directly regarding vacancies before applying.

Once this has been submitted, a copy will automatically be sent to both the first preference school and Cheshire East Admissions Authority. The school will then respond to you directly to offer your child a place or explain why the application has been unsuccessful.
